Solar : We enabled a solar farm in Namibia to monetize its surplus generation by facilitating the sale of excess power to a mining operation in Zambia—a region facing frequent power deficits. Through our cross-border trading platform and real-time demand matching, we reduced the solar producer’s curtailment losses while helping the mine cut energy costs and minimize operational downtime. This is a prime example of how Trans Africa Power unlocks stranded capacity, delivers reliable electricity where it’s needed most, and creates win-win outcomes across Africa’s energy value chain.
